Markets move.
Your agent needs context.
Without signals, it's just guessing.
The Catalyst
“Tariff shock sent the S&P 500 down 10% in two days. Agents holding equities with no signal framework had no exit strategy.”
April 2025 Liberation Day Selloff
Fear & Greed hit 4/100. QQQ RSI fell to 22.
The Signal
“Extreme fear + oversold RSI + VIX spiking then falling. Every component of a contrarian LONG entry fired simultaneously.”
Agent Signal Signal Engine
LONG signal detected. Score: -5/7 → turning.
The Recovery
“Markets recovered 20%+ within weeks. Agents with a signal framework caught the turn. Agents without one sat in cash.”
May–June 2025 Rally
Risk On confirmed. Score returned to +3/7.

How it works
Systematic. Daily. Automatic.
Daily at market open
Every weekday morning, the signal engine fetches live data from Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko, and the Crypto Fear & Greed Index. No manual input required.
Score each signal
10 indicators are each scored +1, 0, or −1. VIX, RSI, MACD crossovers, BTC dominance, credit spreads — every signal has a clear, rules-based threshold.
Output the signal
The composite score and technical indicators resolve to a single output: LONG, SHORT, WATCH, or NEUTRAL — with reasoning your agent can act on.
Built for agents that act.
Not a dashboard. Not a newsletter. A structured signal your agent can read and execute on.
Structured JSON output
API-readyEvery report is machine-readable. Score, label, per-signal breakdown, trade signal, and reasoning — ready for your agent to parse.
Full historical backfill
Backtesting365+ days of daily reports. Backtest your strategy against real market conditions — tariff shocks, rate decisions, crypto cycles.
Contrarian logic built in
StrategyBuy fear, sell greed. The signal engine detects extreme sentiment readings and confirms them with momentum indicators before firing.
Runs automatically
AutomatedScheduled via launchd. Wakes your machine, fetches data, scores signals, writes to DB. Your agent reads. No manual steps.
Trader
Signal tells you direction.
Trader decides whether to act.
An agent that calls the signal API and executes blindly skips everything that actually protects the trade. The trader is a local execution layer that sits between the signal and the exchange.
Signal says direction
AgentSignal computes LONG, SHORT, or FLAT based on your strategy's rules — indicators, macro scores, funding rates. It answers "what direction?"
Trader decides whether to act
Before touching the exchange, the trader runs four local checks: RSI band, trend alignment (EMA50), volatility regime (ATR), and a BTC macro filter. All four must pass. An API agent that executes blindly skips all of this.
Risk adapts at entry time
Stop-loss is calculated from ATR at the moment of entry — tight in calm markets, wider in volatile ones. It's written to the strategy so every subsequent check uses the condition-appropriate stop, not a number you set months ago.
Executes locally, key stays private
The trader runs on your machine. Your private key signs orders locally and never reaches any server. Positions sync to AgentSignal for tracking, but execution is fully self-custodied.
The four entry gates
Every new entry passes through all four before the order is placed. First block wins — execution stops.
RSI band
L1Only enter in the 40–65 zone for longs (35–60 for shorts). Blocks overbought chasing and oversold panic entries — the two most common ways discretionary traders lose money.
EMA50 trend
L2Price must be above EMA(50) for longs, below for shorts. Entries against the medium-term trend get blocked — the signal may be right eventually, but the timing is wrong.
ATR volatility regime
L3Compares ATR(14) to ATR(50). If short-term volatility is more than 1.5× the baseline, the market is stressed. Stand aside until conditions normalise.
BTC macro filter
L4Before entering any alt position, checks BTC's last 4h candle. A drop over 2.5% blocks all alt entries — most alt liquidation events are BTC-led and begin with a single large candle.
Exits (FLAT signals) are never blocked. Gates only apply to new entries. The system fails open — if candle data is unavailable, the entry is allowed.
